ENGLAND WERE TRIUMPHANT WINNING 4:3 ON PENALTIES ~ THE
QUARTER FINAL AGAINST SWEDEN WILL BE MUCH LESS PYSICAL
HAS NOBODY told Mister Trumpet ?

about tonight's match and we are all convinced that with
Harry Kane at the helm we can win without the dreaded
Penalty Shoot Outs ~ ANGELA being 11 hours ahead knows
the result but she won't tell me ! If ENGLAND do get KO'd
we can always watch Wimbledon ~ even without ANDY MURRAY !

I am not a big fan of sports. I enjoy a few. It is a nice write however. Thanks for sharing. I do like the Olympics though. Have a good one.
THANKS FRIEND ~ Because I was born & bred in LIVERPOOL ~ Football (Soccer) always played a big part in our daily lives. I supported Everton (because my Dad did) other members of my Extended Family supported Liverpool ! The Olympics will always be very special. The increasing success of TEAM GB has made them increasingly seductive. At my age (35) I would still rather participate than spectate ! Thanks for your comments BRIAN

I am a bit old but I used to play tennis quite well back in the day, I was Kent Youth Club champion back in the 1960s.
We have had this conversation before, I wish them well but do not watch football, they cheat all the while..

THANKS FAY ~ ENGLAND 5 COLOMBIA 4 After extra time and a dreaded Penalty Shoot Out ! England did it the hard way but the Q Final against SWEDEN should be easier. I am very happy with the result because we are a Young Team with a New Manager and we played like Gentlemen ! Thanks for your encouragement ! It's 9:30 am (WEDNESDAY) in New Zealand but ANGELA was up early and able to watch the whole Match with the other Brits ! Love BRIAN & ANGELA XOX

THANKS CHRIS ~ we are all Dancing in the Streets because ENGLAND WON ~ I have changed the title to ENGLAND GREAT AGAIN ! We needed 90 minutes then an extra 30 and then the DREADED Penalty Shoot out ~ We scored FOUR out of FIVE but COLOMBIA only THREE ~ so we won and will play SWEDEN ~ (who are all Gentlemen like ENGLAND) in the Quarter Finals. Now that SPAIN are out ANGELA is able to support ENGLAND 100%. She together with lots of other BRITS in NZ ~ was able to watch the whole Match (6am to 8:30am Wednesday Morning) before going to work ! Thank God England overcame the curse of the dreaded penalty shootout with their 4-3 penalties victory over Columbia.
The sky is the limit in Russia 2018!
England need to be cautious with Sweden the Swedes are quite good in Europe!

Thanks FRIEND ~ It was a awesome Victory not just PHYSICALLY ~ England were fitter ~ more skillful and played much cleaner ~ but also PSYCHOLOGICALLY because we won it by A PENALTY SHOOT OUT ! Pleased you lked the POEM. I've been to SWEDEN several times and it is a very Pristine and Disciplined Country ~ Swedes are very fit and great Sportsman. England are capable of beating SWEDEN but it's GOALS that COUNT ! Yours BRIAN.
