SELF DOUBT

SELF DOUBT

With loss of flow of rhetoric

his gentile oratory foregone

ignoring instincts natural charge

and lack of exercise of tact

he took to liquors call.

THANKS MICHAEL ~ Lovely symbiosis of Poem 'n Pic as usual ~ you set a very high standard ! Your Village scenes remind me of the Cotswolds ! One of our Extended Family (Rich !) has a Cottage in STOWE where I often stay for the Sense & Sensibility. ANGELA has posed a Hymn in Maori for us today ~ enjoy ~ Yours BRIAN ~ If it's your round mine's a GOLDEN HEN ~ AMEN !

Love the painting. The words too. Double pleasure.

I used to be a very heavy drinker, and suffered for many many years. the pleasure is not worth the fun.
I still drink today but have it under control.

Good on yer - just had a heavy lunch with a couple of glasses of wine - that's enough for me - now for a properly brewed mug of Ethiopian Arabica - something you can't get in the so-called coffee shops.

            How's that evening going?!

            • Michael Edwards

Not sure - I was looking the other way.

Though it might be thought mandatory,
              That post alcoholic oratory
              Such verbal flow
              Ought be kept in tow
For the expletives are self explanatory

              • Michael Edwards

What were the expletives dusk - go on tell me - I,'m over 18 !!

Were they pee, po, belly, bum, knickers?

                Michael,

                Great painting! Love the colors!
Befitting words for those who indulgence!
One martini will do for me!

                ~Laura~
