CONTAGION
Like scattered seeds
that germinate
contagion’s fingers reach and spread
ignoring boundaries of man
to seek and find its victims form
In every land and town and room.

Very true Michael, but if we protected ourselves from contagion we would be cocooned in a lonely shell.
A fine write and pic Michael. I'm in me cocoon. I'm an oyster!
Frightening yet quite natural. Reminiscent of my ex mother-in-law from whom there was no escape. Sooner or later one broke into a cold sweat of fear despite attempting the creation of a total exclusion zone. Gloved, suited and masked the transmission of the agonising symptoms always won through.
A timely amputation saved the day.
Fantastic, really like this. Thank you
horrorfieing and sad at the same time.
This sums up the feared word of Contagion so well Michael - - fighting its spread has been the endeavour of devoted medics down through the ages. A compelling read .
Very good write as you do so well. Always brought with a lovely picture.

Being a Scientist I have already written tomorrows Poem and it required the WHITENESS of a Snow Scene ~ can I use yours ~ please ~ it fits my Poem. Coincidence or Economy ~ I will give a POUND to the local YMCA whose fundraising target is £30k ! Secondly the POME ! CONTAGION (Medical) The transmission of disease from one Person (or Organism) to another ~ in close contact ! Your POME captures the horror and inevitability of this ~ take care ~ POETRY is CONTAGIOUS ! Put you "Bee-keeper's Gear" on and visit my site & Fusions. Yours BRIAN
