Threshold of Your Mind.

Goldfinch60

In our lives we have teachers

Who invite you in

To the house of their wisdom,

There you can learn what they know.

But in this world,

There are other teachers,

Teachers who are so wise

Who do not invite you into their house,

But they lead to the place

That is the threshold,

The threshold of your mind.

A fine write Gold. I heard a teaching method, in 3 stages
    * I (the teacher) do; you (the pupil) watch.
    * You do; I watch
    * You do! (without me watching)

We are all teachers and students too. I'm sure you'll agree we never stop learning. The teaching done at school is the easy stuff, regimented into a curriculum. The teaching done away from school is the important stuff in living.
Its a hit and miss game how we learn and what lessons we actually do learn in that way. But it never stops and daily we are given the opportunity to re-learn and change some aspect of our outlook upon this existence.

Very true da, even at my age I am still learning new things every day. Some of those new things come as a surprise as we think we should have known about them, in my case it happens especially in music, I have been listening to all types of music for over sixty years and believe I know a great deal about it but I have come up with the knowledge the the more I get to know about music the more ignorant I realise that I am.

Wow this was an incredibly thought provoking piece, a teacher in occupation does not always translate to the true meaning; not in the way you've represented it here, brilliant write Gold!
