The 'Label' Generation

My thoughts too. The now gereration is so much like this. Though it is written in humour, I can't help but think that people forget that this life is lived against the backdrop of eternity, and get their eyes on those things that can't finally count for anything worthwhile.

When Faith Is Not Enough

Yes, most of us feel that way at times, but I'm thankful that I can at bottom line, simply trust in His great mercy and love in spite of how I feel.
Good stuff Bernard.

Loneliness
nair36 said:

I'd give it a 20 if I could. I feel like this everyday. This poem had very great rythem to it. It's sad but it's real as I'm sure you can understand that. I'm sure through my poems you already know I've tried to kill myslef countless times but I only failed. I'm only 17 but I have learned that it is not the answer to a problem or as you stated in your poem, "Lonliness". I struggle with this everyday man and I just think of all the people I would hurt if I acted on those urges. You are a great poet and a great friend on this site that I definately know I can relate to. Just keep your head up man and trust me you are definately not alone.

JESUS ( Who's He? )
colly wally said:

I agree with the sentiments of this poem. Even many in the Church have lost their way as they yield to the influences of secularism. It's about "me" now, not others and certainly not God.

The End of The Road
colly wally said:

Hard times either make or break us, and no one can handle the problems but ourselves. We're on our own, but not really. I found in those hopeless, fear-filled, depressing times that in the long term, God was there. Somehow there is a strength that was there all along but not recognised.

Bernard, I can empathise with you in this poem. I have children that have made my life so much fun, and when marriage break-up intervened, it was hard on both children and Dad. God bless you friend.
