This is lovely. Something so tender about the way you personified the sun.

Rita this is a lovely poem that goes well with the picture you posted. And it mirrors life beautifully; no matter how melancholy the day, there is always a silver lining. All we have to do is look.

It\'s all about the blues. True that.
Very optimistic and profound wording. Well done.

Affirmation of Love
FredPeyer said:
Rita, what a beautiful and imaginative way to look at love. I do like the line \"let it pull back shades in darkened rooms\", conjuring up the image of letting love into your heart.
You know, there are so many poems about love, and still there are new ways to express it. Great writing!

May all your troubles be insignificant pricks of light which disappear with daylight. Delightful.

Look up indeed. I love that painting. It\'s one of my favorites. Our worries seem trivial in comparison the vastness of the almighty sky. Bravo.

Welcome to the site Rita!
I do like your poem. You are so right. If we have a problem we have to put it in perspective, and what better way then to compare it to the universe. Right away, that problem becomes smaller than a grain of sand. Well written, would like to read more from you.
