This piece right here, cuts deep, gifted one. The interplay of sadness and hope is woven like a magic robe... Mighty are the works of your pen. A fine art write. 🤟🏽

using the frailty of the ‘individual within’ as a ‘A foundation on which to build a tale’ is a very powerful concept in this poem- I really appreciate how you built up your poem to the final point-I also appreciate the presence of music and musicians in this poem and your body of work in general-Thank you for sharing your strong poetry.

Haven\'t found Lush1, but little matter.
For me (wine now my tipple) it just depends on my mood at outset how it turns out.... although my oblivion days are over.
Neat write I enjoyed very much.

I\'m really glad I read this outloud. My poems never seem as good written to me, they come across better on my podcast in spoken word. This poems flow is fantastic when spoken (and when read). Would be great to hear read out by the writer the way it was meant to be read.

I\'m so glad that you and others found some understanding in this one. It, along with many of my early poems, have deep meaning to me. This website and what it allows me to post has become not only my confidant, but my voice, and essentially, my autobiography. I do appreciate all those who take the time to read and especially those who try to understand. My gratitude and gratefulness!

Brilliant!!!
(please, please
try n forgive my rudeness, dear Poet
but these is how your Poetry revealed itself to me:)
\'Monster\'
\'It wasn\'t a beast who broke me
For that would be expected
No, it was something so much more familiar and respected\'
\'They watch and wait and scheme until you fall into their snare\'
\'But people, do I fear the most - so creative with their cruelties\'
\'It wasn\'t a real monster in that fiction book\'
\'It wasn\'t his folly in the pages
It was what he feared the most
He alluded to evil - deep in our human host\'

Intimation
L. B. Mek said:
(Nature forewarns, ever so subtly
were we anchored enough, in-self
to heed her whispering gust of wind
still, as we watch flocks in flight
and en masse
our archaic amygdala, awakens and begins its work...)
such a wonderfully measured tone and wording, dear Poet
a lovely read
almost a statuesque postcard scene
in a horror thriller
like the beginning of Jaws

Leviathan
L. B. Mek said:
really relatable, I like the striking imagery as well
forgive me, I couldn\'t help but be inspired
to scribble a little poetic reply:
(I think Captain Ahab\'s main failing
wasn\'t necessarily
going after that leviathan
it was more the fact that
he allowed his hatred to blind him
of the small blessings around him
his loyal crew, his sister
and how profitable their hunt was
which would have helped to limit
what he willingly sacrificed to get his leg back..
and thus, we too
at times need to offset
those leviathan trauma\'s, plaguing our minds
against
what we currently possess in our lives
that\'s how
we can continue to walk away from those cliff edges
and find our way back, to our survival shorelines)
