Yes those were the days when none could be familiar with herbs etc for healing - -a dangerous time to be called a witch.

I like the way you have romanced with this character bringing to him a depth previously overlooked in his mostly two dimensional portrayal.

Though mythical, like the Arthurian legend, these tales hold the elements of nobility and decency we like to think are sewn into the Brit personna.

A most enjoyable piece.

HI KATIE ~ Thanks for sharing ! LORD LOXLY ~ ROBIN HOOD is a great favourite of mine ~ love all the FILMS. I (BRIAN) used to live near Nottingham and there are many statues etc and of course Sherwood Forrest where He & His Merry Men operated ~ Robbing the Rich to give back to the Poor ! A great ARCHER and a great MAN ~ AMEN In the end he was restored to His Title & Lands and He married Maid Marion and they lived happily ever after !

Beautiful. I wonder did you write this about yourself or a loved other?

A very moving read for anyone close to an ageing or unwell person.

Great writing. Immediately i thought the words should inspire the importance of love from within ones self.

Opening up and revealing pain within is a great healing process especially among us poets here who have mostly been there.

Love the way you phrased this as a tribute to our finest nocturnal friends. But between the lines are other folk misunderstood and often avoided by all but those who share such pride.

Hello... I\'m living proof of your last line.
I\'m not a fan of Formulae poetry but yours today is so well done never straying from the theme.
A fun and pleasing read.

ANGELA & BRIAN said:

Thanks for sharing KATIE ~ Another awesome tribute to one of Literatures most amazing FANTASIES ~ PETER PAN. WE all wanted to FLY FREE (like Birds) when we were Young and @ 31 & 35 Angela & I still do. It would save over ยฃ1000 getting to New Zealand & Back via Singapore & Los Angeles ! First time I (BRIAN) flew nonestop to Sydney Australia it was like I was flying ! Do you get that impression sometimes when you Fly by Plane ? In the news today is a French Man who has flown the English Channel on a Hover Board in 20 minutes ~ sound like FUN ! Being on a Hover Craft is more like flying to us ~ than on a Plane ! Please dont ever grow up ~ becaus then you do really grow OLD !

Blessings & Peace & Joy
