Very true. Okay, I used a bit of poetic license but basically wrote this about a close friend who after years on her own finally plucked up the courage to go on a blind date. She is now in a happy long term relationship as a result.

One advantage of having bugger all is that you have very little financially to lose. Still can\'t help feeling sorry for some who innocently just wanted to spend their retirement in the sun.

I remember them a little from when I was a kid and umpteen aunts and uncles did it.... The last wedding I attended was in the sixties when a couple who had been living together for years wanted an excuse for a big party - wasn\'t quite like the regular thing, though.
