The train
Kimani said:

A flood of raw sadness has washed over my whole being while reading this...memories of our departed that alighted and left us behind in this rambling train, awakened.
Soon, the train will be at my station too.

Thank you for this one Chris

I enjoyed every moment of your agony - I\'m insulin dependent diabetic...🙂

Hi Chris, once again, brilliant, well laid out and thought out. Judging by your exchange with Dave above, I don’t think you know how good you are! Always entertaining, whether doing comic or serious., thank you!

Not sure about the \'accomplished poet\' bit, Chris. As per my home page, I write rhyming verse with uniform line lengths, sometimes jokey, sometimes on subjects which bug me. Out of independent inspiration right now, so I follow Andy around and pester him with quatrain responses. Best I can do until Andy gets fed up....
Hope I\'m fun sometimes but certainly not accomplished.

The ways of mankind as real history nicely summed up there Chris.
You are an infrequent visitor but always good value when you arrive!

Hi Dave- Tallisman .

Thanks again for the kind words.

These ideas just stay in my head until I release them into the page.

I drive a company car which is a petrol- electric hybrid and my MD and I were talking about electric vehicles.

He secretly shares my view on these things but has to portray a green image.

We laugh at the absurdity of it all and that’s we’re it originated.

The house buying thing cane from. The fact that my wife and I moved from a terrace street to a detached on an estate and the folks were not as friendly.

Hope you’re well buddy.

All the very best.

My father was working in local government when Maggie brought in the right to buy scheme and he was livid about it, he was always a very calm man but he was so angry that council houses were going to be sold and many people would not have places to live.

The influence of affluence is pernicious in western (and quite possibility the rest) societies, Chris.
Normally I find poetry longer than four or five stanzas hard work. Not this one. From Maggie’s big sell-off of any Council housing which could remotely be thought of as “desirable” (didn’t buy into my 6th floor residence halfway up a tower block) through to sketches of pretentious wallopers engaged in ostentatious demonstrations of a commitment to their very own climate change solution, I’ve had my entertainment for the evening.
Thanks.

(one sipped breath, at a time
we find
life, awaiting our awareness
just gotta remember
each sip, is a gift
and we\'re one stifled breath
from that most permanent
and impotent of belated, regret...)
so much learned, wisdom
in such a short read
thanks for sharing, dear Poet
