All my favourite actors and actresses are either dead or getting up there in age. I think the newest and youngest of my favourite actors and actresses right now is Denzel Washington,Matt Damon,Forrrest Whittaker Sean Penn. Jane Fonda,Goldie Hawn,Sally Field and Susan Sarandon. πŸ˜‚ Today’s young actors just don’t do anything for me. Cheers to the good old daysπŸ₯‚ and cheers to you TeddyπŸ₯‚πŸŒΉπŸ•ŠπŸŒž

β€œyour only supposed to blow the bloody door’s off” πŸ˜‚ The Italian Job. Great film. Between todays musicians and film producers,I just don’t see much of a legacy from them. Their legacy will be remaking other peoples art. That the legacy I see them leaving behind for the next generation. Cheers to the greatsπŸ₯‚πŸŒΉπŸ•Š And cheers to you duskπŸ₯‚πŸŒΉπŸ•ŠπŸŒž

If they can bring back epic moments like michael caine\'s \"You\'re only supposed to blow the bloody doors off\" then I\'d be all for it. But it does seem thrills etc are watered down and trust of entertainment is put in the creation of special effects and trickery.

Yes I’m sure every generation wonders about the younger generation. I can remember my parents shaking their heads in wonder about me in my teen/young adult years. You sound like an old blues musician who has to learn other types of music to please your audience like so many of them had to back in the day. But I truly don’t believe any of today’s artists making music today like Mariah Carey,Miley Cyrus,Sean Mendez, ect ect will be heard on the radio 30,40,50 years from now like so much of the music from the 60’s and 70’s is still being heard and listen to today. That’s how great that music is. It stands the test of time. So much of it is truly timeless. That’s what’s missing from today’s young musicians. Timelessness. Cheers to the old daysπŸ»β€¦hope for the newπŸ•Š

Your poem is so relatable! In my 70\'s now, I enjoyed the days when there was a discernible melody to a song, and I could sing along. This aged ear has troubling tuning into music of today, and that\'s OK. I know where to find what I love to listen to. Your last 2 lines say it all, it will never die. Great write!

Oh I do know where you\'re coming from but I\'m sure my parents thought the same thoughts when I was the young audience of \'popular\' music.

Young people today know their life on the street experience as something quite different to how it was in my day and that\'s reflected in what they find popular. Love is of course a perpetual theme and i don\'t somehow see that one dissappearing anytime soon.

But maybe, as a musician, my view is a bit tainted. I had to entertain folk by playing a lot of stuff i just didn\'t like but there were plenty that were a real pleasure to play too.

Yes it is true beauty does come from within. And some do wear too much makeup. But that’s the beauty of makeup,it washes off. Unlike tattoos. It is sad to see some women aren’t happy with their natural beauty though. Thanks VBπŸ₯‚πŸ’πŸ•ŠπŸŒž

Beauty comes from within . All that eyeliner and lipstick … some women wear so much make up , honestly maybe it’s sometimes because they don’t feel pretty enough . I’m not one to wear a lot of make up .

A good writing anyway

I think some women wear so much make up that they honestly hide how they naturally look and may probably look better without all that !

when skin deep, is all that a life
entails..
that crucial - essential, kept hidden within
dies
and when Time, comes to collect
sadly
theirs nothing, to fall back on...
then that
horror show demise, begins
(a sad topic
an important subject!
thanks for sharing, dear poet)

I absolutely love this poem! At the ripe old age of 72, I gave up the ghost quite some time ago. I can now proudly wear my wrinkles and folds as a testament to all the joy of living. I earned every one of them. Thank you dear poet for your incredible insightfulness.
