Really Refra\'s
L. B. Mek said:

\'No fakery here
And not much money
As such
But honesty\'..
funny
how this line, is oft
turned upside down
when money is abundant
and yet
majority of us
make it our goal in life, to prioritise
the accumulation of money
above all else...
(loved the reflective tone
and insightful commentary
a lovely read, dear poet)
setting it in the Pub
makes it, that much more relatable
\'in my humble opinion\'
thanks for sharing

Love this! So funny (luckily I never got the rash after Kentucky!). Will forward to my daughter who never eats Fast Food - she’ll say “I told you so”.

Beautifully poemed this compellingly worded tribute of prose to a late brother who maybe had the name Michael - -- a lasting closeness seeps through your lines dear Keith as you see love beam hope onto sad missing - -- a most moving read - - - Cornwall\'s St. Michael\'s Mount near to me has a similar magic that heals.

A PERSON POOR

A poetic lament that sears the heart when what is longed for is not appearing - - love hurts and you verse that so well Keith. This joins my list of faves for sure.

A PERSON POOR
L. B. Mek said:

\'This world is fine -
It\'s everything
But a person poor.
It\'s the perfect jigsaw
But a piece I need
Is missing.\'
found these words to be so relatable
and that vivid image, of the lonesome scene
that inspired these thoughts
was skilfully painted..
a great, emotive read
thank you! dear Poet

Sadly, they are just plenty of sickos out there, and for some reason they seem to have rights. As for the press, truth is an inconvenience to them.

Rozina said:

Your poem describes insomnia so elegantly. I really sympathise with you. So difficult to fall asleep; when I\'m just about to fall asleep a noisy bird starts his noise at 4 am!

To be on the receiving end of such beautiful words….…sigh! I must show this to my hubby. Maybe he’d be inspired to write something for Valentine’s Day, even if he starts with Roses are red violets are blue…..

Until the Rain Turns Red
Fay Slimm. said:

Yes -- when carnival\'s over reality can hurt - - an intriguing read Keith - I see a parting when a lonely day-dreamer needs more - -- breakfast for one pains but waiting \'til rain turns red must bring only heartache. Methinks time to move on from that clamped cold stream. Just my take on interpretation of course but your short-lined lament suits a slow reading perfectly.
