I love this superb assessment of urges to fight sleep with those \"worms of worry\" and can relate to the wanderings among \"pillows of thoughts\" - - thanks for sharing your insomniac habits dear Keith - - - - really must save this one for further reading.

To be on the receiving end of such beautiful words….…sigh! I must show this to my hubby. Maybe he’d be inspired to write something for Valentine’s Day, even if he starts with Roses are red violets are blue…..

I believe this to be about your all time favourite cathedral? Well you certainly live in a place surrounded by the pure elegance and art filled beauty and glass pains with the sunshine raining through them seems in itself somewhat of a miracle. Your titles are always spot on, vow is both elegant and charming. 💖

I read this yesterday and it\'s truly fascinating, please forgive me for not commenting as I read your notes I read them no comments from the reader, so now I can spread my wings and tell you what it represents to me, is someone who is trapped inside his own mind, please forgive me for being so outrageous but I see a mental institute, I know you will appreciate my view of this magnificent work in any case, and again I was dying to write this but read it wrong as to you was so personal you didn\'t want anyone to comment. That is why I never read the notes! Anyway fascinating and I\'m sure it is only my interpretation but that\'s what I love about poetry. 💖

Yes..perhaps there needs to be a poetry category for PAIN:
\"You can walk while I just waste.
And carnival ties
are undone for good
at the bottom of my bed.\"
..wrenchingly painful...raw with a beauty....thanks Keith...

A love affair with ancient buildings - we have that in common to a degree my friend - they cant drag me away from their history when I enter these places - thanks for the read and you poem it well Keith - -- I really related.

Yes -- when carnival\'s over reality can hurt - - an intriguing read Keith - I see a parting when a lonely day-dreamer needs more - -- breakfast for one pains but waiting \'til rain turns red must bring only heartache. Methinks time to move on from that clamped cold stream. Just my take on interpretation of course but your short-lined lament suits a slow reading perfectly.

Lovely subtle rhyming dear Keith I wish I could stay in bed rather than see all this tragedy around me on a daily basis. Another beautifully captured thought. 💖

Freedom means different things to the people in charge and the people they are in charge of. So many countries facing this dilemma. So it is in our own minds. So true.

The pain of causing any harm to a creature of indescribable beauty must lodge in the memory and my heart goes out to you Keith for no matter how long ago to look into the eyes of such suffering is never forgotten as your poetic lines show. Sad but so touchingly composed.

I found myself surrounded by very sad emotion, your poetry seems to have an amazing effect on my soul dear Keith, although I rarely read notes on poetry I like to get my own thoughts and feelings of what it is about. Your last lines are very powerful and beautifully composed throughout. 💖

A well written piece about a sickening situation. I know how you feel, I have had similar with two badgers and one VERY close miss with a deer. It really is a sickening feeling and makes you feel hate and despising for what we have become, so far removed from ouyr beautiful wildlife.
Well done.
