Rest in pieces

A tough story of a life from the perspective of a son. So poetic in its telling it pulls at the heart and rests in the darkness of the earth. Well written in good verse

Yes, sadly, that’s the way it looks. My one didn’t take to the bottle but acted out other ways. Back in the days when role reversal wasn’t a thing it was really tough to navigate.

Despair at what might have been. I hear it echoing in this poem. A sense of darkness and shadow where there may have been light. Wonderfully written, it pulls at the emotions of all of us.

Oh the shift and twist followed by that take off! It got going pretty quick. I can only nod in agreement and having been in those shoes, still there it would seem.

Ooh, and here’s part three! Apologies for the slight delay. Had a particularly knackering shift and was useless to the world for several hours. Are we venturing a fourth, Daisy Junior or some such…?

A dark story from the past very well written. It evoke strong emotions in the reader of what it’s right and what is wrong. It pokes and pulls at the idea of justice. It is provocative and full of graphic images that are burnt into the mind.

Delightful story telling David. I am so pleased there was a part two. I loved your story telling. I like how two disadvantaged young people formed a friendship. Will there be a part three?

A very touching poem, highlighting how things often said in temper or impatience in isolation might be manageable, But when it is constant and in all directions it can have devasting effects.

The death of a child is the hardest to endure. May her memory be a blessing on all who knew her. A very touching read. Hurts the heart and waters the eyes. Wonderful ink though David.
