The Choice !
Poetic Licence said:

Well that was one hell of a decision to have to make, in life I guess we all have wandering moments of if we made the right choices, all the what ifs.i think it\'s best to except the decision we made is correct and try not to think of what could of been, a very interesting and nicely written write

The Choice !

Whether real or not a metaphor for choices in life that we will never know the answer to. A variation on Robert Frost\'s The Road Not Taken. We all at times look back on choices made for good or bad we will never know, sometimes with regret other times with joy thinking what things might have been. Other dimensions unknown with a thank God when things are going good and at others an only if when things are bad. If we only knew that the choices we made are really for the best we would live our life in peace not in remorse. Why not assume they were for the best regardless and be at peace rather than live in misery. A lovely write a metaphor for more than relationships and a fave

GAZA (July 2025)
Poetic Licence said:

Doesn\'t just make me sad it makes me fuming, that in a so called civilised part of the world, everyone stands and watches as one nation carries on its cleansing operations in some of the cruelest ways possible to elimate a nation. They can talk bullshit all day long, bullshit doesn\'t save life\'s or bring around peace, action does, nicely expressed and written write

Compassion extends to the end of our field of vision. It is walled off by the screen on our TV. it is distanced by news print. We are desensitized by graphic movies that we know are not true. We are not there so it doesn\'t exist. A poem that is a plea for us to realize the reality of the situation and do something about it. But then we all feel helpless so we do nothing. Sad.

I bow to you in a task of teaching haiku in haiku most masterful. As I have searched in the past there seem many variations such as senryu and the need for a cutting word (kireji) and nature reference (kigo) in the traditional 17 syllable haiku. The difficulty and masterful completion of what you accomplished in this work deserves a fave.
