This is a great comparison. The storm comes out of nowhere and unleashes its fury, whipping the sea mercilessly, creating monstrous waves. The waves themselves are liable to cause damage elsewhere. But the time of the storm is limited. The moment will come when it will have to peter out. The sea resumes its former quietness.
