Again a wonderful write. How many times I have pruned from my poems lines that I would have left in but for cutting down length. Less is more they say and I believe is true. Never the less loss of many thoughts and lines lie in the dark. Love this poem and it\'s a fave

Ah the disguise of a poet. Hidden behind the mask of verse one\'s soul to immerse in words raw yet metaphoric. A glorious farse even when one\'s costume is sparce leaves the mind euphoric. (excuse the poetic rant) I love this poem of how poems are a poet\'s disguise and the question of whether it is worth it. Nicley written loved the rhyme and flow

Literary alchemists is what poets are trying to make gold out of lead and seldom finding the philosopher stone to accomplish it with. A lovely write

So identifiable this metaphoric depiction of the existential crisis we go through at various times in our life.

Now that is what I call a poem. Starting sweet becoming quirky with a dash of passion and a sprinkle of charm this poem does what many can\'t and that is put affection in common terms that are so poetic. Loved it a fave

Out of Ink
sorenbarrett said:
I too have thought what can be said that has not already been said. Yet each poem is different written in the ink of the soul that wrote it from the emotional blood of its author as different as each person yet the same as all humanity. We all have similar feelings but as individual as we they are stated in our own way. Stolen phrases and words are just that trite if not felt but jewels if from the heart. A thought provoking and wonderful poem.

Very nice rhyme in a poem about writing. The poem flows well with good meter it in metaphor speaks of itself. Very nicely done

Mythos
sorenbarrett said:
So many entranced by the screen few read anymore and poetry less still. How much is lost in the lazy dust of technology and its mindless hypnotic fast food poison of additives for flavor. So well constructed and rhymed with good meter the meaning hidden in metaphor. Nicely done

Cryptical
sorenbarrett said:
(All of these secrets kept within
a true bounty of virtue and sin
yet left here forever unread
hiding behind words still unsaid)
A verse that encapsulates poets. A beautiful poem of taking what\'s inside and putting it out for others
(Playing these haunting tunes
as cryptic as buried runes
I again now lead you astray
with rhyming verse I now say)
Love the poem a fave

Cursivity
sorenbarrett said:
Beautiful and well said. Cursive does connect each letter to the next as each thought should be connected to the next. In its beauty letter become more personal and it is a pity that not only is it no longer being taught in most schools but children and even adults are having trouble reading it. A lost art. A lovely poem
