Masterful the use of the title to set the mood, the wording of the poem continues this with direct wording (ache and sorrow) then with sensual wording (cold, blurring) This all builds gradually as such an emotion does. Even the choice of ordering (morning first night second ) leaving the feeling of darkness to prevail. The two lines:
\"heavier is to breathe
worse is to sleep\"
are brilliant. Then it finishes with a flourish a definite fave
