Some people have flaws and these flaws are what make them beautiful. Nobody is perfect. If anyone says they are they are lying. I enjoyed your poem very much.

Table For One
Tristan Robert Lange said:
Tonya, this reads like an intimate moment of choosing to stay present. The lack of charm becomes part of the truth, and the hope that remains feels earned rather than forced. A thoughtful, understated piece. Welcome to MPS, and I’m glad to have read this. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛

Table For One

Nicely written. Your poem revolves around the imagery of a table set for one, symbolizing loneliness and the acceptance of solitude while still holding onto a sense of optimism.

Table For One

A poem of familiarity with a place that no one has taken and the assuming of it. Nicely written it leaves me feeling unnoticed and alienated but still present.

Departure
Paul Bell said:
Friendship in unison it seems, and everlasting.
We all need a soul mate like this.

This is a marvelous poem with such a wonderful metaphor that fits it so well. It speaks with its splinters and chips rough and yet not so raw but more finished in its incompleteness lies its charm. A fave

The flow of words is compared to the tide. Words arrive and depart… Where heart and mind converge is a rare point. Usually there is a gap between the two. Whereas the heart is affectionate, the mind is logical, reasoning. Whereas the heart can lead us to our ruin, the mind operates often to save us. The convergence of heart and mind shows a state where the individual can prosper or create something new. “this fluent meeting…” shows the value of that moment when the heart and mind are in convergence.
“their message and meaning would fall adrift -...” If the good opportunity is not seized, the occasion will be a lost one.
“I unveil that place in me of their creation -...” : the tangible result of the inspiration – for the writing that was produced.
“where others are awaiting birth” : whereas others are waiting for the inspiration, the poetess has managed to record on paper that inspiration that occurred to her.
Very poetic rendering of inspiration that managed to find its way as a permanent writing.
