BEAUTIFUL SENTIMENTS FRIEND ~ I have Friends who are Downs and they are all wonderful and bring so much JOY into our life ~ they have no guil and what you see is what you get. I worked in a College and we had a lot of Downs in our Specific Needs Department and they always surprised us with their mental & physical capacities. We have Downs in our mainstream secondary Schools and they always have a positive effect on the pupils with only 46 chromosomes ~ AMEN. Your beautiful tribute to your Son brought tears to my eyes ~ Thanks for caring ~ BRIAN

I remember how nice my hands used to look before I ruined them working construction in my youth. It\'t what\'s inside that counts, and if it is half as good as your poetry you are fine.

Life or Death (Prose Poem)
Augustus said:

That is sad perhaps scary to realize part of you is gone. Where does the spirit go now? Liked the prose.

Brilliant poem. I sense your disbelief in a passion and love that consumed you in offering your life (perhaps to a person?), but then realising that something that could be everlasting was short-lived. You then mustered a strength within you, a true spirit to accept the continuation of yourself, regardless. I guess its the path to wisdom.

A remarkable narrative of a person reflecting on their life and knowing they can still grow and transform to an improved person. Very refreshing for the coming year!

I believe many can relate to this poem. You describe so well the anxiety that accompanies seeking a relation with a mate, the fear and anguish of rejection, and the memories that last and hurt for a lifetime.
