Fire and ash

What a good metaphor based on a real event. Nicely written it evokes feelings of loss yet perceived loss is not total with much salvaged. Strength is not always in standing firm but like the water that put out the fire adapting in shape, putting out fires and washing clean the past. A most lovely write the is both melancholic and bodes strength in rebuilding. Years ago I had a fire in an apartment that I was renting burning even the clock off the wall leaving only its shadow. It was a long hard clean up but it brought family together to help. Very nicely done

Burden

This one works for me - \"Come ye, who are weak, and heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle, and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
