Haha, what a devilishly clever piece, Michael! Poets endure the torment, turn it into art, profit from the inspiration, and become too troublesome for Hell itself. That is one hell of a salvation story. Excellent write, my friend! 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

Michael, this is clever, warm, and wonderfully self-aware. What begins with a teacher’s dismissal becomes a lifetime of creative possibility...then the Forrest Gump turn brings it home perfectly. Excellent work, my friend! ✍️📚😂🙏

Lovely. I too wrote a poem in English class in the seventh grade for an assignment. My interest in poetry when I was failed by the teacher who said that I must have stollen it from a book and wanted me to prove I hadn\'t. Guilty until proven innocent just like the rest of the world.

Such discontent in this write where is seems all is deteriorating and there seems no hope. It is bleak and dark yet hard to disagree with. Nicely written

It is dark but all too true representing that shadowed side not reveling the bright side it represents only half of the story. Nicely written it gives on a heavy feeling with out the relief of better days. Carpe diem I say make the best of what we\'ve got and enjoy the trip, it might be the only one we\'ve got.

Descartes’ Dilemma

Perhaps when I die I won\'t exist, thus noone to recieve any answers...
A poetic examination of conciousness worth the effort, at least...

Thinking too much can certainly lead to inaction and sometimes confusion. A first impression may be best but thinking about it can save heartache. Ergo cogito sum good write

A most romantic symbol Isis the moon goddess but merely a reflection of the sun. Nicely portrayed romantically in this poem. Well done

\"our coloring activities because they held no meaning in our rainbow-colored minds!\" A wonderful allegory here. I loved the message of this poem and it holds power. Nicely done and a fave

sorenbarrett said:

This poem is a one size fits all. It rings a bell many have heard and calls out that the fire is going out. When the fire still has embers it is time to put on more fuel if it has not gone out all together. Nicely written with good rhyme and meter, it is coherent and well organized with good images. Well done my friend
