Killing Clowns

Our Parliament is full of Clowns at the Mo.
Though I\'m not one for \'Fast Food\' so I\'ll take everyone\'s word for these places.
Good Poem.

Killing Clowns

There\'s a can worms to open, my la! I never realized clowns were perceived as creepy until I\'d been an adult for too long. Funny, mebbe that\'s the reason a certain pizza joint doesn\'t have any clownish mascot. Fascinating and thought-provoking with excellent imagery and a deeply haunting poignancy. Thank you for sharing.

It resonates and says it well. A poignant, contemporary write saying what is deeply felt by many I would think. I feel a palpable sense of unease in this world, as if we are regressing as a species.

I liked this one Tony. You have to understand the images of McDonalds and Burger King to grasp it and the use of time when many of these places close. Clever and short. A fun read

The Jackalope lives on in verse, and a fine one it is.

Made me laugh and that gets the fave. Clever with Hamlet rolling over in his grave. There was a man close to me blew his head off years ago checking a dud skyrocket.

Tristan Robert Lange said:
YES!!!! And we can be the voice for the voiceless, like prophets in the wilderness crying, make the way STRAIGHT for the LORD...which I have always interpreted: clean your act up and start standing up for what\'s right! Live justly, love MERCY, walk humbly. Simple. Pure. Would be easy if we just didn\'t stand in our own way. Love everything this poem and you stand for Tony! Keep it coming mate! 🌹👏

Poetry to me is not just the fancy weaving of lines and words, not just clever metaphors but emotion conveyed. Your wish for happiness in others swells the heart and is so nicely expressed in verse therefore the fave

Your words roar with courage and compassion—never stay silent for those who suffer. The world needs more voices like yours, unyielding and fierce in the face of injustice.

We shouldn’t have to sit down and shut up .. if we don’t want to and if we only saying our opinion etc
A good writing
Should be allowed to express a opinion without being told to be silent

A good write on standing up for what one sees as right, for the weak, for those that can not speak for themselves. A lovely write
