Wonderful Tony. I have been at that café, and the coffee is thick and cold. Brilliant job penning this. A fave. 🌹👏

Oh not for eternity I hope. A sad poem of loss and pain that paints a dark shadow of sorrow. Nicely done Tony

That’s quite a burden left with the cafe, or is it the keeper? Mmm… nice🙏🏻🕊

Empathy and self reflection are not easy to do. That\'s warrior heart in itself. I truly respect your honesty and admire your strength. It shows. Nice work

Very touching, Tony. I never presume to know whether a poet is writing about themselves personally or if the muse is leading into unfamiliar territory, but what I always know when I read your poetry, my friend, is that you have a whole hell of a lot of empathy and character. I have read so many different poems from you on countless things, from unicorns and dragons to peace on earth and good will toward humans. I know that wherever this poem came from, it poured out of a caring heart...a heart I am personally thankful for. So, all of that to say, BRAVO! 🌹👏 This poem is one of true remorse and true love. Letting go is the hardest thing love can ask of us. You expressed that so beautifully here. I could feel the pain...every word of it... BRAVO!

Your style neither eliminates facts nor fiction until reading you from day to day can leave my head spinning. Eloquent and beautifully rendered with excellent imagery, the bittersweet poignancy haunts like the darkest chocolate lingers in the mouth. Thank you for sharing.

Well written piece here, you put your heart on your sleeve, or more like the paper. It was deep, I felt it.

That’s quite the summation… it’s far more comprehensive than my dad’s apology, and somehow it brings unexpected comfort and relief. Good write, Tony🙏🏻🕊

A sad recognition or responsibility for past actions leaving a sense of remorse. This poem is raw and spills the feelings for the reader to see. Heartfelt

thanks for the reminder - i used to love listening to music most of the time, now wonder why it\'s a rare occasion that i indulge in it - life is moving too fast, and too many things to do

A great question to begin a poem. Love is just that not to be rejected but to be given boundaries and respected. A lovely poem Tony
