HI STEPH ~ LOVE YOUR PICTURE ! When i read all these stories about MEN on MPS it make me ashamed of my Gender. I love your defiance to the Man (or system) who is trying to manipulate you ~ who considers himself the Messiah ! I will not be ~ pacified ~ ignored ~ denied ~ listen ~ follow ~ swallow ~ wallow ~ bow down or taken hostage etc etc ! OK STEPH we get the Message and all the REAL MEN really love you for it. Fight the Good Fight and you will overcome Evil Men ! Love BRIAN.

I WILL NOT

Clear thought that you are a force to be reckoned with. I'm 77 and was puzzled initially by the feminist movement, giving women more control over their lives. Gradually I began to understand. One day I will share a poem I wrote in the 70's about the change I was seeing. I feared women who wanted traditionally male jobs. Now I laugh at myself.

Lovely poem, but I did not get the suicide. I saw it as breaking a relationship, which I admit suicide does permanently. Yes, there are subtle signs of serious depression we miss. And there are other signals that when we reflect back, we kick ourselves for not answering the obvious cry for help.

This poem is about suicide. We recently lost someone very young to this horrible event. I believe all people consider this at some point or another and I feel like there is pattern of thinking that escalates these thoughts. This poem is those thoughts and unanswered questions.

Thank you STEPHANIE ~ you are an elegant poet and such a fragrant Lady ~ it is a tragedy that you have to write such a poem. Some Men are mad and do not value the Love of a Lovely Lady. As you know ~ They do not notice ~ Sadness ~ tears ~ broken hearts ~ confusion and even parting ~ so so sad. Thinking of you and praying for you ~ Love BRIAN

WELCOME STEPHANIE ~ Thanks you for your first poem. There is a paradox between structure and subject ! It is elegantly written ~ replete with rhyme and rhythm ~ easy to read an recite. However the Subject (Love lost & rejected) drips with pathos. I am only 33 and have never been married (yet) but I have loved and lost so I can empathise in part. "The time we shared has faded fast and is becoming the past" so so sad. What is more tragic is that he chose to leave and made no attempt at reconciliation. I pray you will find a release from your loneliness. I trust you found this cathartic ~ it made me sad for you. Thanks for sharing and caring ~ Yours BRIAN (UK)
