She went as quiet as the Dew

She went as quiet as the Dew
From an Accustomed flower.
Not like the Dew, did she return
At the Accustomed hour!

She dropt as softly as a star
From out my summer's Eve—
Less skillful than Le Verriere
It's sorer to believe!

Wow, this poem really gets to the heart. I feel it's about a loss or a departure, and the sadness that comes with it. It's amazing how the writer compares a person to nature, like the dew and a star. Straight up feels and emotion here. Kind of left me feeling sorrowful, but in a good way? If that makes any sense. Sometimes it's tough believing that loss can feel so immense. This poem expresses that beautifully. It just hits different, ya know.
