Had to go under the knife
Guess it's just part of life
My absence was in the hospital stay
I can tell you, I feel better today
Missing out on summer is the worst part
Not lazing down the river breaks my heart
Missing the sand and also the sun
Watching everyone else have all the fun
Somewhere I have found more meaning
In the everyday ups and downs
I'm seeing more of the positives
And I'm feeling less reasons to frown
Hopefully I'll be back soon gushing about my heart
Not back to 100% but this is a start
I thank you for your patience during these past days
My lack of poems isn't just a phase

Nice to see your blooms on MPS again. Wishing you a full and speedy recovery to full health.
I am going under the knife myself on 9th August,some fear and trepidation.
Oh, thank you so much dusk arising. You have nothing to worry about for surgery, remember you are in capable hands. (So says the nurse in me) If you are religious just make sure to say a prayer before you go in and I'll be thinking about you!
Hope your at 100 percent real soon. Take care and take time to heal.

I will also be under the knife soon - nothing life threatening but a minor surgery - it will be my first hospital attendance ever after all of my 70 plus years - hope you recover fully soon and do enjoy your postings dear Christina.
Wow, when I was working as a nurse I would come across a patient of your years that swore it was their first hospitalization or surgery and I think that it just fantastic!!! Remember you are in good hands-----and ask questions----even if they seem dumb!! Hopefully I will be back to reviewing and posting poems regularly soon.
