ENJOY THE MAORI SINGING : IT ALWAYS MAKES ME CRY!
WELLINGTON CAPITAL of New Zealand
Extremity of N Island : Gateway to S Island
Lovely climate all year through
Low in Winter (10C = 50F) High in Summer (25C = 77F)
I would love to live in WELLINGTON
N Island has a higher MAORI population
Great from Wellington to visit S Island
The MARTINBOROUGH Vineyards : elegant in Winter
One can sample the Wines, delicious
NEW ZEALAND Wines always palatable!
COOK STRAIGHT separates North from South Island
And I will explore S Island next Year (2019)
People love Wellington for the Museums
I loved all the Cafes & Restaurants
The CABLE CAR rises 400 feet
And is exciting with stunning views : And a
Lovely BOTANIC GARDENS with a BEGONIA HOUSE !
Hope you enjoyed WELLINGTON: comments please ANGELA XXXX
BRIAN encourages me to write ACROSTIC POEMS! For me
the biggest hurdle is not the appropriate words (I am a
Scrabble Player) but making the lines balance to give the
Poem good flow 'cos its FREE VERSE! RUTH & I were in
Wellington last weekend for a Conference and we really
enjoyed the "free time" on Sunday. It was cool 13C 55F
but dry. I promised my Dad some NZ Wine (I will send it
back with BRIAN) so we visited the MARTINBOROUGH
Vineyard, delicious. Wellington is a lovely City and we
loved the Cable Car and the Botanical Gardens. We will
stay again in the Spring when we are en route to the
S ISLAND Milford Sound & The Glazier! Love A & R XXXX

Sounds amazing! I enjoyed your view you shared. Thanks for taking us there for a moment.
Good Morning KAT, New Zealand is a Paradise (even in Winter) and quite unlike anywhere else on Earth. I am in AUCKLAND for a Year and BRIAN is coming to visit in TWO WEEKS time, Im so so excited! The Maoris are lovely and their singing lifts you to Heaven! Every Blessing, Love ANGELA XXXX
Ooooh - love that singing too - - very powerful - thanks for the informative verse on Wellington and its beauty Angela - it sounds idyllic - -and oh those temperatures both summer and winter are perfect........ blessings to you and Ruth while you are both enjoying that special piece of paradise.
THANKS FAY: Yes Wellington is beautiful and like all Capital Cities it is very affluent and smart and a Female Shoppers Paradise! Ruth & I were a bit apprehensive about coming in Winter and missing the English Summer which has been a scorcher! However in the daytime in Auckland it is always above 10C (50F) so one never feels cold! It gets colder as you go South (strange?) but Wellington was similar to Auckland. The MAORI singing is like musical silk, it just wraps round you and soothes away all your stress and negativity! Its 7am Friday here already but I like to get up early and check my emails (cheaper than phone calls) and MPS of course. Every blessing : Love ANGELA XXXX
Super bit of info in poetic form - sounds such a grand place - I'm quite envious
Well UNCLE MIKE: It is a Poetry Site and I do my best. BRIAN gives me some help to tweek my ACROSTICS and make the lines balance! NEW ZEALAND is very beautiful. Overall it is the same size as the UK but only has a population of 5 million. Consequently it is much less congested and there is much more \"breathing space\". We love the Maoris and they are given much more status than Native-Americans and Aborigines (OZ) and \"Travellers\" (Gypsies) in the UK. All signs (since 2000) are bilingual. I have two Maori Student Physios working with me. They are very empathetic and make good \"Health Workers\" as do the Filipinas in the UK. The MAORI MUSIC is Divine just like Welsh! Have you ever been to NEW ZEALAND? Did you watch \"Lord of the Rings\"? Which was filmed here and has boosted tourism. Thanks for you comments, Your NIECE ANGELA XXXX
A fine write A&R.
Oh lol, you've got a Hastings too! A nutty group of us plan a Hastings UK anniversary, remembering 1066. The only thing is that you have to have been there in person, to join the annual anniversary celebrations. It gets dafter! lol.
As far as I am aware there are only two of us going to that anniversary as the others still cannot believe that Orchi told Harold to look up.
Michael wants to go too, though he can't believe I said that to Harold.
OK Michael, you may join us but please go easy on Orchi.
Oooooooo UNCLE STEVE: Your Poetry (Divine) and your Comments(Zany) go from the Sublime to the Ridiculous : But I like you! There are lots of English Names in NZ (there is a Plymouth opposite Hastings) and don't forget it was a Brit (COOK) who discovered it. A deca-centenarian (1000 years old) like you would feel very much at home here, folk tell me it is a bit like the UK in the 1930's. You could also do your "Don Quixote de la Mancha" bit here because it is covered (N & S) with Wind Turbines because it is a Nuclear Energy Free Country. The Maoris (and the Birds) don't like them. Brian & I and David & Ruth are very pro-Nuclear and think the UK should have a minimum of 50% to keep pace with demand for Electricity. Hope your Hastings reunion goes well! Ruth send her LOVE every Blessing, Love: Your Niece ANGELA XXXX Please check our FUSION on ICE CREAM before it runs out or melts due to your Indian Summer!
New Zealand has always struck me as a wonderful palce and that is being confirmed by your love of the country.
