DANCING QUEEN : ANGELA

BRIAN & ANGELA

MY MAORI DRESS & STICK & POI DANCING : BEAUTIFUL

I AM ALWAYS DANCING : I guess its .....

In my Spanish genes : The Tango

Passo Doble, Salsa it all fits:

I always dance a fine FANDANGO!

BRIAN can dance : after a fashion

He loves the Waltz and Scottish Dancing

ARGENTIAN TANGO?  Lacks the passion

An in AMERICAN SMOOTH : He prances!

I love the MAORI DANCES  : POI

And STICK DANCE with such passion

I joined in with Iberian joy

I was not treated with derision!

My hair is Black, my skin is Brown

Im Bangladeshi in a Sari

Dance in the Park and in the Town

Henna Tatoos : morph into a MAORI!

Accepted me the MAORI DANCE to learn

Fitted me out with my MAORI DRESS

I learned the POI : cream de la cream

You couldnt tell me from the rest!

Imagine just how shocked poor BRIAN was ......

When he saw me : Dance the POI

He was a little scared : because

Thought I might elope : with a MAORI BOY!

But I assured Him : He is my ALPACA

His Tongue is LONG : And He can Dance the HAKA!

Hope you enjoyed DANCING QUEEN : Please comment : ANGELA XXXX

BRIAN cried and clapped so hard, when he saw me dancing the

STICK & POI with the Maori Dance Team!  He didnt even recognise

me at first in my Dress and Henna Tattoos! I run Music & Movement

Classes in the UK for Seniors. Im going to introduce POI when I get

back. Men like ORCHII swoon when they see POWDER PUFFS and

BUNNY CLUB Tails!  Understanding the MAORI CULTURE is one of my

biggest delights during my first three Months in NZ.  BRIAN warned

me it would get under my skin AND IT HAS.  Love to All ANGELA XXXX

    • BRIAN & ANGELA

      Cara Amica Angela,
Una bella poesia, foto, e video di un ballo molto interessante!

      Sei tu nella foto?

A great poem, photo, and video. Love the Māori stick and poi. Very pleasing. Enjoy to the fullest!
Abbracci e Baci per te e Brian...
      ~Laura~

CAIO LAURA: NOSTRA BELLA AMICA: Si POI e un ballo interessante, STICK e un ballo tropo complicante per me! I am pleased you liked the video and the photo in my Maori Dress : do I look pensive? Dancing is very good exercise I have mastered the POI but am still learning to "throw and catch" in the STICK. All MAORIS love to dance and sing. It is 8 am Friday here Brian is making the Breakfast "Eggs Benedictine". Grazie per tu commentos : Abbracci e Baci di Angela e Brian (nella Cocina !) XXXX

        • Laura🌻

          Sei bellissima!

          Yes, you do look pensive.
          Were you thinking of Brian?!😉

          • BRIAN & ANGELA

Grazie Laura: de certo! Its wonderful now but on September 1st He will be gone again and wont return until EASTER 2019. He is very unselfish and wants Me (and Ruth) to enjoy a New Zealand / Maori Christmas & New Year (first to celebrate 2019 in the World), without having to worry about our Fiances. I hope that makes sense, it does to me! Abbracci e Baci con Amore : ANGELA XXXX Also BRIAN could have the time off the come but not David, you cant visit NZ (from UK) for a weekend and BRIAN thought that would be unfair to RUTH : OK. One of the many reasons why I love Brian so much is that he is always so so considerate of how I (and others) feel. He is a true English Gentleman, what we call Un Caballero : Uno Calviero!

            • Laura🌻

              Sì, un gentiluomo!

            • Goldfinch60

Good write, you are certainly getting the Maori culture under your skin, that is great to see. Enjoy.

              • BRIAN & ANGELA

Thanks UNCLE ANDY: Its 8:30 am (Friday) here Brian is just making "Eggs Benedictine" for breakfast, we are still in the Bay of Islands! The MAORI CULTURE is very enticing, especially for a Lady who loves to dance and sing! Brian was surprised I had made such progress with the POI, the STICK is more complicated it requires great hand / eye coordination! I am enjoying every minute, especially now that BRIAN is with me. Love & Blessings to Joyce & Yourself : Angela & Brian XXXX

I enjoyed both - very uplifting read and
                view.

                • BRIAN & ANGELA

Thanks UNCLE MICHAEL: Pleased you liked the Poem & the Video. Brian knew we had a Maori Dance Group at the Hospital but he didnt know I was competent enough to take part in the POI, the stick is more complicated but I am learning. The MAORI culture is very uplifting socially & spiritually, thanks for your interest. It 9:15 am Friday here we are having breakfast : Love ANGELA XXXX

                • Fay Slimm.

Lovely picture and oh that video - I could just imagine Brian exploding with surprise when he realized you were taking part - - Dancing Queen goes into my favourites - enjoy every fun moment together and sending you both warm hugs.

                  • BRIAN & ANGELA

Thanks FAY: I knew you would enjoy this posting. The Picture, the Poem & the Video. Brian had some experience of NZ and the Maori Culture and he told me how attractive the Country & the People were. From the minute I arrived I felt at home being half-Spanish I shared their love of Nature, Dance, Singing and their preservation of Culture. BRIAN was surprised (but not shocked) that I was in the Hospital Maori dance Group (which is open to KIWIS!) because he know how well my Spanish Culture would resonate with the MAORI. I can now see why he was so willing to put \"our plans\" on hold so I could have this very unique \"Year in New Zealand\" experience, he is very unselfish! Our enjoyment of NZ and each other is boundless ~ AMEN. Warm Hugs from both of us : Angela & Brain @@@@@@@ (seven warm hugs !) Thanks for saving it as a Favourite!

                  • Christina8

Wonderful! Glad Brian enjoyed it so! Glad you are having such a fantastic time, Angela!!

                    • BRIAN & ANGELA

THANKS CHRIS ~ It\'s 7am SATURDAY here and we\'ve only just woken up. I\'m going to make the Breakfast while A has a shower. I\'m doing Fresh Salmon & Eggs Kedgeree ~ fresh Orange juice and Coffee and Toast ~ Wish You and J could experience Bay of Islands so much Coast and so many Boats. We have been here since Thursday ~ check the Poems. You are in our Prayers. N Island N Z Reminds me of an American State ? Angela really surprised me with how much progress she had made with the STICK & POI Dances. I can understand why She doesn't want to come back to the UK. Perhaps we will emigrate to NZ after we are married in 2020 ~ She sends her love ~ Abrazos y Besos con Amor BRIAN & ANGELA @@@@@@@

                      Lovely poem Angela
Dancing makes our spirit happy doesn’t it x

                      • BRIAN & ANGELA

Thanks KAY: Pleased you enjoyed it! With my POEMS (and BRIAN with His) we do our best to entertain, inform and spread a little happiness. Being half-Spanish I have always danced and i love the Latin American Dances, especially the Argentinian Tango : very sensuous! The MAORIS have been kind teaching & encouraging me and I have natural rhythm! As a PHYSIO I teach Music & Movement to Seniors to keep them moving, I will introduce POI when i get back to the UK next year. I have bought my own set of POI & Sticks and the dance Group have promised me 20 sets for my Class when i go back home! Very true what you say DANCING (of any genre) does lift the SPIRITS and makes everybody happy. Music & Dancing are very important subjects in the School Curriculum from 5 to 18 : KEEP DANCING. Thanks Love ANGELA XXXX
