Tune: Christchurch
('Now is eternal life')
********
A fire, a light, a flame
Your ever-living name
You Lord of all above
Still reigning in your love
And you too Lord of all below
We know you, you did us first know
Help us to seek in you
Your ways right, good, and true
Not to turn unto self
To find our soul's true wealth
But salvation in you is found
Our hearts rejoice, a joyful sound
Where we distracted be
Help us your way to see
To follow on sure, strong
With your aid all along
Taking each step with you our guide
Who do in lowly hearts reside
There found a great treasure
Your Spirit does assure
Us of your presence true
You do our lives renew
And so to share that rich, full store
That others saved too evermore
Light of our darkness, we
May fail, poor sinners be
But in your forgiveness
You do restore and bless
We your people, your children be
Confident in you, even me
By your grace we shall live
And to you praises give
Share you in word and deed
And meeting human need
Through your strength, your enabling
Other souls we shall to you bring

Gosh you must be a fickle sinner asking for all this help and guidance. What is it that resides beneath the outer manifestation we know as Orchidee?
Thanks dusk. Well yes, we 're all sinners, but all can be forgiven. I've expressed it in somewhat traditional, or 'classical' language.
I'm no sinner Orchidee. According to christian traditional teaching I am created in the image of God, so how can anything God does be a sin?
I know dusk. God did not create Adam and Eve as sinners, but they disobeyed, and ate of the one tree in the Garden of Eden that they should not have eaten of, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. even though they could eat of every other tree there. Whether it was an apple tree, or whatever sort it was, (it does not say what fruit it was), they gave in to the temptation to eat of it, tempted by a serpent, the devil in disguise. That's how I see how sin originated. We're still created in God's image though.
You don\'t really believe in fairy tales like adam and eve do you? Just remember it was men wrote these stories not any God. If you think it\'s the word of God, then who was it spoken to? Christianity has some great principles and morals but really ought to stop misleading people with myth and fairytales.
I don't know what else, what other 'story' then, to explain the origin of sin. So, you may reply, 'See, there is no sin then, and we're not sinners'.
Why do you need a story to prove the existence of something?
Things like Rupert the bear come from stories. Things like magnetism and gravity exist without the need for any story. Sin is a man made idea. Do animals sin when they steal food? or copulate with many partners? Man is just an animal like any other.... the instinctive actions of man are as natural as any animal. We may need laws to maintain our society standards but theyre not based upon the notion of sin
Good work you outer manifestation you.
Thanks Michael. Oohh I never been called that before! Am I related to Mr Manny (Manuel) Festation? And was he in Fawlty Towers?
Thanks UNCLE STEVE : Angela here its 8pm Friday Evening here is NZ and my Healing Work is done for the WEEK : AMEN. Brian will be in work by now so I am replying. The GOOD BOOK exhorts us all to be WITNESSES to God's Saving Grace : EVANGELISTS ! You are a multifaceted MAN who could speak of many things : Of CATS & CAPS : CATASTROPHES and Roundabouts & Swings : BUT Instead (like Brother Paul who you knew in Tarsus !) You resolve to know nothing among us : except The Lord JESUS CHRIST : and His death for us on the CROSS : AWESOME.
Love the MUSIC : Love the Poem : You lift me up - So I could walk on Mountains : AMEN Thank You for being YOU : Love & Blessings for the Weekend ANGELA 🧡🧡🧡🧡
Thanks Angela. Well, I have my dafter poems - Fido, etc, and tales of whisky-watering, though some will shoot me for it! Fido's still at large if he sees poems that should be marked 18+, but are not! Woof! Not now, Fido. heehee. I'm out of space, but may start on 'I remember when.... I met Paul in Tarsus'.
Thanks, Orchidee. Your poems are so uplifting to me. I'm reminded of grace and that we all fail without His help.
Thanks w c.
The Spirit is always with us Orchi.
Thanks Gold. Sometimes the spirit, small 's', is watered down by me - it would be! heehee.
