LIMERICKS 97, 98 and 99

Michael Edwards

There once was a lady from Fife
who led an embittered life

till dear hubby Rob

put cream on his knob

with results that soon ended her strife

And out came the dettol the rags and the wash mops

when into the loo went bladder-full Cyclops

for such was his fate

he couldn’t see straight

as he plastered the floor with his plentiful peedrops

She dated a chap called Fred Bunn

and looked forward to having some fun

they went to the park

when out of the dark

along came his wife with a gun.

The passion he felt in his heart
one could see well expressed in his art
    his pictures were abstract
like his cow in a cat-flap
    and his opticians rorschach eye-chat

his spectacles you could say were bizarre
above both his ears were crowbars
on the bridge of his nose
    was a rat decomposed
his lenses - a pair of jamjars

    in the finest artistic tradition
came the day of his first exhibition
    where a social cross section
    approved his collection
he wished now he'd charged them admission

So multi disciplined, Michael: L’s one and three – Relationship[ councellor extraordinaire: L2 – incontinence advisor.
Cross discipline, I know, but one has to diversify in these uncertain times.
    Your artworks …complexity rulez. Great.
