We see so many things,
So many things in our lives.
From a distance all seems good
And the world looks wonderful.
We all have enough,
Enough to keep us well,
And we see nobody is in need.
Music flows through us all
Showing that peace is there
And harmony rules our lives.
We see so many wonderful things,
But only,
From a distance.

Good write Gold. Hope Chapel is going OK.
Thank you Orchi, yes the Unitarian Chapel is going well.

I would find Unitarians bit strange, I admit.
We can but look on.
We surely can Michael, thank you.

Beautiful and sad, it's so true from a distance 🌹
Most kind Teddy, thank you.

Both the song and your reflective words are so very apt in these troubled times. A sad write Andy. We can but live in hope. Wishing you a wonderful Wednesday.
Thank you for your words Cassie, yes we can but hope.

So true Gold. We take many things for granted and see them from a distance whether it be pain of others, poverty or others blessings. It is very hard for us to walk in the shoes of another person. True empathy is a rare thing. A very nice write
Wonderful understanding words soren and so true, thank you.

A wonderful poem and attached video song. It is truth being spoken in both, Man must wake up and realize the futility of war and hate. That the differences of men are a strength and not something to fear. Thanks for posting this lesson of the day. - Phil A.
Thank you Phil. One day they may understand the futility of war and hate, we can but hope.

Have to abandon TV, radio, all media to keep it at a distance, Andy. You can try....
Very true Dave, we can but try.

Very lovely, thus accompanied to perfection, and the reminder to see afar off too timely, like the advice given new drivers, "look as far ahead as you can-- not your front bumper--" and if only we would, it'd be wiser by far. Thank you so VERY much.
My pleasure Missy, thank you for your understanding.
Andy
Ah, yes. The driving force in my life without a doubt: Music!
Much appreciated Rocky.

i agree - appearances can be deceptive - but sometimes one look at the eye reveals the pain behind the smile, which most of us overlook
