What I Call Shopping.

Goldfinch60

I parked the car in the car park,

The car park of the shop.

Into it I went,

The guy behind the counter said “Hi,

How can I help you?”

“I want a case of The guv’ner

And a case of The Reisling please”.

The guv’ner is my favourite,

And the Reisling the Mrs favourite.

To the counter he brought them,

I paid for them,

Out to the car he took them,

Put them in the boot.

“Thanks very much” I said,

“Have a good day.” He said.

And off I drove to home.

It was such a fast shop,

It must have been less than five minutes

From parking the car

Getting the wine

And then driving off.

Now that is what I call shopping.

CHEERS!

I also buy at Majestic and Guv'nor is also my favourute. I also like LB7, Ned Sauvignon Blanc, Majestics Primitivo, and I do like Toast and Honey but I shan't be buying it any more (oops - hope I don't upset any of our American friends) . Yes the service is great but its embarrasing when they greet me by my name and ask me to 'remind' them of my post code.

    • Goldfinch60

Yes they are like that to me as well Michael but they are so helpful and pleasant to talk to.

Customer service becoming a thing of the past. The old saying that the customer is always right has changed to pay before you enter and if you don't like it you can leave. Parking is now paid parking and underpaid employees are surely at best and usually not to be found. Capitalism on steroids. A bright and encouraging read that leaves the day a little brighter and the soul a little warmer.

Very true soren but this shop is definitely one that treats the customer with respect.
