Farmer

Tony36

A simple farmer all I be

I work the land with dignity

I work the fields

I move the cows

I fix the fence

I slop the sows

This surely is the life for me

For a simple farmer all I be

Sounds a little more dignified than "slop the hogs". Oh, I forgot that's what politicians do in Washington. Heh, heh. Nice poem.

With Trump now in the White House. There will be much much more hog sloping done in Washington. Glad you liked my poem

I can just imagine this being read with a strong English country accent - great.

Being a farmer is a wonderful profession. I just posted a poem and my grandparents were farmers. Admirable profession!
