Limoncello tastes best in Italy ~ in NAPOLI overlooking the BAY !

This poem is presented as partially biliungual  free verse SONNET ~ OK

The litre of alcohol in the recipe could be provided by a litre of VODKA

or a litre of WHITE RUM.  That would result in a final alcohol content

of about 17% proof !  Itallian lemons are big so you might need 12 !

  • Comment from author about the poem: LIMONCELLO is a very characteristic Italian liqueurn and is best served ~ with ice ~ at the end of a meal Or as an aperitif with olives and crusty bred dipped in olive oil. I have mentioned before that from the UK it is cheap to fly to Italy for a weeks half board in a hotel (from $500). It is a very popular destination and you can bring back a bottle of LIMONCELLO for all your friends ! But remember (like OUZO) it always tastes better in the County of origin ITALY ! Thanks for visiting ~ hope you get a chance to visit ITALY SOON Con molti amore ~ BRIAN XOX

It's a must whenever we are in Italy but you've hit the nail on the head - it always tastes better in country of origin - by the way Italy is our favourite country with such magnificent scenery and architecture - nothing like it anywhere else. love the poem Brian.

Thanks MICHEAL ~ I always knew you were a Man if discernment ~ now you have confirmed it ! ITALY is a peninsular an (like the UK) is largely surrounded by WATER ! This give it a unique identity in terms of cuisine ~ festivities ~ dress etc. As soon as one enters ITALY (from any direction) one immediately knows you arein somewhere unique ~ the language ~ written ~ spoeken ~ sung is Divine. The food and wine to die for and th Italians ~ well very very ITALIANO. Thanks BRIAN
