My younger years

Christina8

What would it be like to be 22 again?

because I had the best time of my life when

I gave up modeling and partying for family,

And became a full-time student and mom then.

You know I wouldn't change it for anything!

My young twenties were such a blast!

And I worked my way through college.

Oh! How time goes by so fast!

How I loved (and still do) to go out and dance.

I'm usually one of the first few out.

I must admit if a slow song comes on

and my husband doesn't dance, I will pout.

Dancing is great exercise. And I can dance to most anything.

I remember being so young and gents would ask to dance with me.

It was so exhilarating meeting and talking to new people.

I will always cherish my twenties. Happy memories most entirely.

Wouldn't mind being 62 again LoL but yes 22 was a good age - your poem took me back again Christina - newly married, first baby, new job having relocated to another part of the country, plus the energy of the young. I do try to preserve it - sitting here thinking I must go for my shower having just completed my strenuous daily exercise routine.

Yep, college, job, baby, marriage, but before that I was carefree even though I was responsible and lived on my own. Good for you keeping up with the exercise! I wish I had the energy in my 30's that I had in my 20's, LOL! Thanks for the read! I appreciate it!

Now in my 69th year in my mind I am in my thirties, a time when all was good in my world, married, kids, house, good job and nearly fit. I remember being fit but that was a VERY long time ago.
Good write Christina, always remember the good times.

It's great to reminisce in verse C. Me, I'm not so sure I'd want to return to that time.

Being a bit of a fogy is ok.
