I raised my head from my slumber,
Kissed my darling wife,
And got up.
I poked my head through the curtains
To see the outside world
When I saw him,
This man walking,
Walking down the middle of the road.
Orange coat,
Orange trousers,
Orange bag,
Black boots,
Balding head.
Not a sight I have seen before,
Not at six in the morning,
This man in orange.

Intriguing write and great to hear the Ying Tong Song again - what do our American friends make of it I wonder.
Thanks Michael. It was a very strange sight first thing in the morning. Don't know how our American friends will react to the Ying Tong Song but it is all a bit of fun.
DON'T YOU REALISE ANDY ~ THAT YOU HAVE BEEN TANGOED ! The future is ORANGE so get used to it ! It is the BRITISH capacity to ACT STUPID that is our greatest asset (We need Clown Boris) and that in the end wins us the most medals. Spike ~ Harry ~ Peter three Genii and everything the GOONS did proves the maxim ~ The whole is always greater than the sum of the parts ! Long after MO ZART (and His Rhythm Boys) are forgotten the YING TONG SONG will still play on ! Thanks for caring & sharing ANDY ~ Yours BRIAN
Thank you Brian. The Iyng Tong Song may well be remembered but Wolfgang Amadeus much more so.
Oh lol, a fine write G/F.
Thanks Orchi, quite a sight first thing in the morning!
Was you dazzled by the sight?! hehe.
Maybe he should cut out all of that orange juice! Very citrusy write Goldfinch!
I didn't know that eating oranges turned sight orange. Lol.
Not something one sees every day. However, if I were walking down the middle of a road, I would choose to wearing orange too. Enjoyed this cute poem, Goldie!
Thanks Louis.
Maybe he was dressed to check the road to find any damages before trafic begin. Let him know he is poetry now.
He was on his way to work, he was a construction worker. Thanks M.
I find the little jingle intriguing. Nicely done. I had to "Google" the song and Lo and Behold..
Thank you Edward.
Great write
