A Happy Poem

I have so many notebooks of writes,

so many personal and dark

So much has changed in this past

year, like someone set off a spark

 

Although I have shared some sadness

and hurt with you all

I no longer feel that heavy burden

nor feel like I'm facing a brick wall

 

I was encouraged by someone to write

as often as I could--that eased my pain

Now I smile and laugh a lot more  

and I can easily see my gains

 

I'll look back to my dark poetry

to help me reflect and grow

Who knows? Someday I might go back there

But right now I'm happier than you know

                      Me too I am happy for you, Christina! If writing makes you happy and helps ease your burden, that is so much better than what other people use, such as alcohol, uppers, etc.
                      I actually had a smile on my face when reading your poem! Which goes to show, you are not only making yourself happier, you are spreading that happiness around!
