SHAKESPEARE: THE MISSING LINES (3)

SHAKESPEARE: THE MISSING LINES (3).

(Recently discovered and published here for the first time)

Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown

It’s much better standing up.

Romeo, Romeo, where art thou Romeo

Down here right in front of you, you blind bat!

What light through yonder window breaks?

Is Juliet into fart ignition?

We know what we are but not what we may be.

So you believe in reincarnation.

A horse, a horse, my kingdom for a horse.

Why give your kingdom to a horse ?

    Some more good ones.

The scheme of your abstract works that I prefer are back - like them very much.

    • Michael Edwards

Thanks Andy - must agree they are more eye catching.

A fine write Michael. Did Juliet have too many baked beans?!

      • Michael Edwards

She did but she's now broken the habit. Cheers Orchi

I didn't know Romeo and Juliet was such a windy tale!

Another beauty Michael. Poem and painting superb.

        • Michael Edwards

Cheers AP and thank you so much for the save.

What's this? Regarding number four ... A lawyer drawing conclusions obviously without having thoroughly examined the evidence? I would like my retainer back please, good sir.

Just messing with you, Michael. Off course we all are free to believe whatever we choose.

          • Michael Edwards

Ah it depends on whether you are prosecution or defence but you're right, I should have added a question mark. As far as reincarnation is concerned I daren't tell you what my friend wants to come back as - I'd get booted off the site. Thanks so much Louis.

Thanks MIKE ~ I correct GOLDIE ~ what he sees as an abstract I know to be photo of a FISH through the sparkling waters of the AVON "The Chard of Avon !" Loved all the M L's 3 ~ My fave has to be No. 5 ~ but I thought it was attributed to Harvey Smith "My Kingdom fer An 'Orse !" BRIAN "Bard of Essex "

            • Michael Edwards

Could well be a fish. I'm a regular visitor to Essex (well Loughton and Woodford Green) and I see you are a Bard of Essex and I've been awarded a similar title: Bard From Essex. Cheers muchly Brian.

Just after I read the second one that I liked, the third one was funnier! This abstract is different but I like it very much!

              • Michael Edwards

The third one has only just been found - it's still breaking news. Thanks Christina,

              • Fay Slimm.

Some of these finds are more subtle than the originals methinks - ha h a.

                • Michael Edwards

Actually he originally wrote some of them as couplets:

                  Julia’s into fart ignition
she finds it better standing up.

Why give your kingdom to a horse
                  unless you believe in reincarnation.

                • FredPeyer

I think, Michael, that this is the best of the three missing lines poems.
But where are the lines in your painting? Did you paint them over?

                  • Michael Edwards

The lines were ruled out - thanks Fred.
