WHEN I was a Kid
All the Adults told me to **** UP !
Shut UP ~ Grow UP ~ Get UP
Stand UP ~ Sit UP ~ Cheer UP !
I knew UP was the opposite of DOWN
And I was also told / ordered to .....
Sit DOWN ~ Stand DOWN ~ Lie DOWN
We could also use UP in a negative way !
Give UP ~ Fed UP ~ What's UP ?
I am still learning new expressions
Of the UPS & DOWNS and INS & OUTS of LIFE
All I know that is ~ on balance .....
I would rather be UP than DOWN
I would rather be IN than OUT ~ AMEN !

The ups and downs of life are always with us but in spite of the downs the ups are wonderful so lets all go 'UP, UP AND AWAY!'

Ohhh, half-way up - neither up nor down! I dunno if I'm coming or going, and especially this time of the morning, considering things half-way up, or down, a hill!
Oh childhood and its perpetual rules and regulations! Takes years to get over it......... by the way, love the picture of the woman unimpressed by the ride!!! She's a scream!
