“Crucify Him!”
That was all they could say,
Revenge was all they could see,
Revenge for what?
Their priests could find no guilt,
Pilate could find no guilt
And in washing his hands
Removed his responsibility
As he told the gathered crowd,
“The responsibility is yours”.
And still the cry went out,
“Crucify Him!”

Strong and emotive - great scribe Andy.
Thank you Michael, most kind.
A fine write Gold. The 'religious' leaders got some of Jesus' most scathing comments. They were the hypocrites, not the 'common people'.
Of course this does not mean all religious/Christian/spiritual leaders.
Thank you Orchi, yes they were the hypocrites - those in power - nothing has changed.
The ordinary people are ignored.
Gold,
I agree with the comments made by Michael, Orchi, and you!
It seems that, āThe more things change, the more they stay the sameā!
~Laura~
Thank you Laura.
Yep - meanwhile (and also) the more my singing changes, the more it stays the same - unbearable! heehee.
Most likely youāre underestimating yourself! š
Bet I can sing really! lol. Well, I booked 100 singing lessons. The tutor wore ear plugs every time. Strange that! heehee.

Strong and strangely "modern" - does nothing ever change?
No it is always the same. Thank you Lorna,
I enjoyed reading this. Itās nice to be boldly reminded of the reality of the crucifixion sometimes. What people were missing with eyes wide shut! Great write
Thank you bnl most kind.
I'm the ONE who shouted CRUCIFY
I'm the ONE who raised His Cross on high
I'm the ONE who stood and watched Him DIE
What have I done ~ I'm the ONE !
Thanks ANDY for sharing the STATIONS of the CROSS
Always a CHALLENGE !
Love the PICTURE ~ Very graphic!
And a real manly MAN !
Yours ~ BROTHER JOHN !
