Very cute. I am 40 now and completely understand the denial in this piece lol. I believe I am done aging myself.

We don\'t celebrate it here in the UK but I recognise the dilemma - gave me a good smile this morning. Thanks for posting.

Hi Nancy!
Some days I feel exactly
what your poem describes!
Only difference...
You take care of your husband
and I take care of my mom!
Welcome to the golden years!

Good piece and I can feel the tug at the heart . You don\'t reach old age without having experienced the loss of someone close. I have a few and your description is certainly knowing. Thanks for a great piece.

WOW, I loved this. I can remember some of those same yearnings and yet now wish it was back at the beginning.

My adoptive mother passed from Alzheimer\'s Disease in 2008, and my sister and I held her hands as she passed. A very emotional moment to say the least. Glad you still have your husband there to annoy the shit out of you. That\'s just his way of saying that he loves you. ; )

Breathtaking. This struck a cord with me as a father to 2 young daughters. A reminder to always cherish the moments. Beautifully written. Thanks for sharing.
