Very nice. I love poems that are on the edge of enigmatic and clear and this is one. So many possible symbols and metaphors yet one thing is clear and that is the images and the ending that love was shared. I suppose it is up to the reader to determine how and with what. A most lovely feeling accompanies this poem and that is always as sign of greatness and art a fave Jerry

Jerry I love the transition in the lines of this poem from cold and grey to the sun that then transitions into cherry blossoms and finally renewal which is new growth. A lovely write

It\'s sad really, a breeze sweeping up the debris of autumn, when once a beautiful bloom. A poetic observation exquisitely expressed. Perfect.
Kind regards,
Tony.

So many interpretations of this metaphor. I love it when the metaphor can be taken in more than one way. A most lovely write

I love dandelions - they were a delight as a kid blowing the seeds, and if I had the room, I\'d grow pesticide free dandelions as the main constituent of my next health giving cuppa - move over chamomile. Still, as you say Jerry - plenty of fight in \'em yet.

This poem leaves room for interpretation, allowing its meaning to vary depending on the reader\'s perspective. Its intrigue keeps me pondering and reflecting on its depths. Well done!

A most fun read with which I can identify. Why is it that only the plants you want to keep die from the herbicide? It seems that the weeds find it a fertilizer.

You held my attention for the length of your tale, Jerry. A great achievement all round, as you are not prone t write long \'uns very often and my attention doesn\'t extend normally to much more than eight lines.
Enjoyed thoroughly.

Well told this metaphor in form of fable speaks to those who have children and the passing of age. I love how you chose the name Patience for the plant. Patient it was. I have a play on the name issue for tomorrow. Enjoyed it
