Short, to the point, it paints a picture and if one dives deeper a metaphor of life in other areas. Well done

Loved this poem Jerry closely related to one that I am working on at present. It speaks personally to all of us in that we were all birthed and poetically with such wonderful images that you presented. Simply lovely and a fave

Hey Jerry, thank you for sharing this beautifully wrought journey through life’s thresholds. As someone who’s walked many of those hallways and stood in countless doorways, your poem spoke to me on a profoundly personal level. 🕊️🙏🏻

Ah - chimes... I hanker for them, but live far too close to others, and am pretty sure I\'d get complaints...
A complete symphony - or should that be song? Flash - melody - roar...

I love this and reminds me of my trips to florida, and the Carribbean. Before those storms come they sure bring the chimes X

The picture is as clear as the water. If there is a metaphor here my mind is still working on it. Very nice

An interesting write, a sense of something has rotted away over time to replaced with anger, probably completely wrong, enjoyed the read

Together, these three images paint a mini-drama of cultural decay: a treasured work, carefully stored, is consumed bit by bit by unseen forces. It’s a meditation on the fragility of physical texts, the passage of time, and the unexpected ways our “classics” can be reclaimed by nature. It may be off the mark but let\'s venture an interpretation: This fancy plate is a meal for tiny silverfish. They’re eating a boxed copy of “The Grapes of Wrath.” I too have witnessed and undergone such a painful encounter with my treasured tomes.

This deeply wise poem in its brevity states the problem at different levels. Greed the basis of capitalism takes from the poor and gives to the rich but also for the very nature of man we hold onto what we have at every level. The rich are nothing more than poor with luck, opportunity, deception and effort. A poignant write and a fave
