Breeze
Tony Grannell said:
It\'s sad really, a breeze sweeping up the debris of autumn, when once a beautiful bloom. A poetic observation exquisitely expressed. Perfect.
Kind regards,
Tony.

I love dandelions - they were a delight as a kid blowing the seeds, and if I had the room, I\'d grow pesticide free dandelions as the main constituent of my next health giving cuppa - move over chamomile. Still, as you say Jerry - plenty of fight in \'em yet.

This poem leaves room for interpretation, allowing its meaning to vary depending on the reader\'s perspective. Its intrigue keeps me pondering and reflecting on its depths. Well done!

A most fun read with which I can identify. Why is it that only the plants you want to keep die from the herbicide? It seems that the weeds find it a fertilizer.

Well wirtten ,Yet so true,Your poem ,revolves around different types of flowers (apple, cherry, and dandelions) and their responses to environmental pressures, specifically referencing the use of pesticides (\"sprayed with death\") and the idea that nature can be resilient in the face of destruction.

The mariner\'s guide when impaired in the thick of fog, expressed in a really lovely poem, one that I thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you very much.

You held my attention for the length of your tale, Jerry. A great achievement all round, as you are not prone t write long \'uns very often and my attention doesn\'t extend normally to much more than eight lines.
Enjoyed thoroughly.

Well told this metaphor in form of fable speaks to those who have children and the passing of age. I love how you chose the name Patience for the plant. Patient it was. I have a play on the name issue for tomorrow. Enjoyed it

I\'m not religious but I do believe we can all live together no matter our religion, colour, or our own beliefs, it\'s a sad day here in Italy, they called him the people\'s pope, and it was a big shock as yesterday much like the queen of England he too was at work, just shows the forces of strength. โค๏ธ

Wind
sorenbarrett said:
Ah it is the ambiguity that catches my eye first. Is it the traveler or the wind that is still cold? But then there is deeper meaning in the metaphor. No matter what we do it may alter little our perceptions, or in the second case it may alter little that that is around us. In such a case science may be nothing more than an change in our perception not reality and so the same for our effect on those things around us. A fave Complexity in simplicity and that is poetic to the max.
