I found sunshine in this lovely poem, and that may not be a cure for all hurts, but it certainly helps. Happy new year.

Decision
L. B. Mek said:

mindfully
that keyword, saved for last
to be mindful
that come what may, we find a way
to prevail, to witness
what our stories may yet yield
(a most relatable read, dear poet
thanks for sharing)

Anyone
L. B. Mek said:

so very clever!
read the lines in reverse
from bottom, up
to extract that poetic volition
\'our existential crisis, versed\'
so very clever!
thanks for sharing dear Poet
(Camus would like this I think)
\'Anyone\'
so true, so raw
such a sad reality for so many..

Under the Blanket
L. B. Mek said:

rain does help curate
that most seductive of mellow ambiences
so enticing to blink, in beat
with those droplets on our window screens
and let them usher us back to a time of rest..

At the Train
L. B. Mek said:

that repetitive drumming of metal
that track as narrowed destiny
that promise of a seated journey
train tracks, too
can be a source of solace
just like
that shoreline\'s calming waves...
(such clarity of vividity
a dive within refreshing words
brilliantly executed, dear poet)
thank you!

Ghost
L. B. Mek said:

Thanks for sharing, a memorable and therapeutic read for me personally
please, forgive my overopinionated rant below
I interpreted your words a little too literally:
(distance, is my go-to
for problem solving or avoiding
those toxic people
we all come across...
since there\'s no way to fight
such levels of callous obliviousness or wilful ignorance..
warped mindset\'s, determined to inflict destruction
wherever they pass
pathetic creatures
who try to paint double-suicide pacts
as romantic
because they\'re too much of a coward
to ruin their own life and have it be enough...
this be those true ghost\'s in our daily lives
those mythically entwined, ethereal ones
are just lost, i think
looking for that illusive exit door)

one choice and step at a time

Are you happy?
PridelessIdiot said:

Good inquiry to what happiness is. But I think it is too factual, there is no emotional anchor as to how you feel about happiness. Perhaps you can try to write about your experiences with joy or pain to further anchor your thoughts on happiness

At Night
L. B. Mek said:

indeed, our night\'s
are a journey
in and of themselves
learning to traverse them
is an acquired, skill
in and of itself...
(thanks for sharing)

L. B. Mek said:

nice theme, not everyone
has a favourable opinion of their origins
most spend their life, trying
to run away from
all those childhood mistakes and hardships..
