Does Santa really care?
L. B. Mek said:

who cares?
when we can become Santa\'s
in that one, deed
(beautiful sentiments
what words of empathy and hope
to put out into this callous world
thank you! kind Poet
wield your empathy, as bravely
as you cultivate meaning
within your wonderful poetry
stay strong! this world is extra hard
for those who seek sincerity\'s path...)

Crypticbard, the fact that it had that affect on you means that the writing cut through, so that in itself is positive even though the subject matter isn’t at all nice, but in answer to you, mine was simply 2 different scenarios, one of the mother being treated cruelly and then the son being given what some might call ‘tough love’.
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts 🙏

This gave me an imaginary scenario of a boy that witnessed the mother being abused by the father and later on just like she used to make it better for the little boy, he reached out to her, to kiss and make it better. It may be a totally different take but hopefully along the same feel. Thanks for sharing. /Rik.

Thank you, this started as a song many years ago that didn’t get finished, and the ‘rich men’ part was going to be the chorus, and so ended up the end of the poem as I felt it was the most on point ending and the title of the poem spoke for itself

\"Rich men do\'t get hungry\" boy, did that line get to me. Here\'s to those that have to brave the elements, left without dignity or bread. Sombre poem.

Nothing is for sure. Pretty much what can be summed up from observing what is around us. Good read. Thanks for sharing.

Amen!
\'that Smile of wisdom\'s, fortitude\'
more power to you
and your humble mindset, dear Poet
\'let the world end itself
an eye for eye, at a time
you just Smile
through it all, defiantly!
and make her proud\'
