To Write on the Seol-Pa’s Painting Titled Pear-Blossoms
L. B. Mek said:
from Li Bai, to Basho , to Kim Sowol
inked words of poetic transparency
detailing the toil of nations
amassing crimes against nature
with each generation
defiling the perfect blossoms
we inherited and setting fire
to those forest\'s of hope...
yet, still
once more, somewhere
beneath modernity\'s
foggy skies and satellite stars
a daring poet, picks up
that timeless ink of Poesy
to word his generations lament
wording humanity\'s tears
adding to our inherited culture
in that sea of poetry, we
read to seek a path to a mercy
we dare to hope as our
key to a salvation, we know
we don\'t deserve..

I had heard the name but not the whole story....we need more people like General Witcomb, to connect the peoples of the world, to bind the wounds of the past, and give hope to new generations. He must have loved your country beyond words. Thanks for honoring him.

Sochang Castle(Kokura Castle)
L. B. Mek said:
from Nobunaga to Yoshimune
from warlords to reformists
the era of shogunate military prowess
to a Japan, with a stunted army
yet once more, change has began
old castles, watch
as nature\'s music and light serenades
a new generation, that have forgotten
will soon remember, that culture
of Busho warrior as their inheritance
and the horrors of battle, it promises
for future generations...

thank you, dear poet
a great write, offering sobering insight
(yeah, funny how contrasting time\'s
offer glimpses to our heritage of change
new beachfront 5 star hotels
of modernity
to accommodate that surge of tourist popularity
searching to see if trains to Busan
really have zombies
or a glimpse of that handsome Gong Yoo
lol
all,
built upon the blood n toil of those forgotten
yet,
witnessed by legacy building\'s
like your picturesque
sunshine painted cafe
a tribute, to that fallible beauty
in our
collective heritage of humanity)

The Landscape Of Choryang-Dong
L. B. Mek said:
words of resolve
a picture of sparsity, yet
I glimpse a pram in the doorway
of the eatery
an emblem of enduring hope
someone
is busy feeding their young
keeping
that torch of alive, burning bright
and those
tiny torches, congregated as one
a lighthouse
that anchored our unyielding
resolve
to overcome covid, so now
we
look back at it, as if a distant
nightmare
and awakened we\'re hustling
on those, same
silent streets, and dreaming
of those days
when we had all the free space
to move
as freely as we wanted...
lol
we should be careful
of what we wish for...
(great write, dear Poet
thank you!
hope you had a great holiday
are you from Busan?
do you have the accent?
do you visit the seaside often?
lol
forgive me, I\'ve always wanted to visit
your beautiful country)

While Gazing At The Castle Of Hongju
L. B. Mek said:
(such a poignant write dear Poet
thank you!)
birds flock from chaos
gather, upon life\'s serene remnants
lives, wasted on yet another
uphill struggle
wasted, maybe
forgotten, never
their roar of defiance, against
that universal injustice of fate
still echoes true today
in every battleground of unfairness
decay, as testimony
to the valour in our endeavours
of bravery!

On The Streets Of Osaka During The Long Holiday
L. B. Mek said:
electric boards, highlighting physical feats
a poet\'s creativity, capturing a scenic idyll
more vividly than the best camera
angle, ever could
Kanji dancing in his eyes
Kugo serenading his ears
and heart
