Out In The Open

It's very like a terribly true bold-faced acknowledgment of wrong-doing. For the speaker says in L6 that it shouldn't be spoken....wherefore? Can't it be had or is it illicit? Almost eerie for the seeming forbidden desire, it excellently conveys the sense of passion, concluding hauntingly with the dangling unknown. Very well done.

Jolly good funny one! I quite enjoyed it. But, seriously what is it about....what is the pink cow? Is it related to a pink elephant?

Trevor’s Little Squirrel
Cheeky Missy said:

Reminds me of the time, when a child, that I thought I would catch me a squirrel for my pet, 'round about dinner time......I was actually rather successful, nearly able to grab him, for he finally barred his teeth at me, but the dinner bell ringing for me, escaped up back into his tree.

The SHORT Bus Ride
Cheeky Missy said:

It is not the nicest poem....but by the conclusion I laughed out loud. Sounds like grade school, and yet it seems to be pointing to something else...what is it?

Delightful love poem! Your mention of walking a mile, oddly reminded me of the fun song 500 Miles. I like it.

Your Love
Cheeky Missy said:

It is sweet....and short. I like it. Reciprocating love, that's how it best goes for us, especially when you consider that the Lord says, "We love Him because He first loved us," you know?

(UN)HAPPY
Cheeky Missy said:

Me too...I want to be happy. Something seriously to consider, part of the solution does lie somewhat within our ability, in that it is our attitude in it all, our perspective, that really can make it better or worse.

From Inside My Heart
Cheeky Missy said:

Your end-rhyming is pleasant, and the cry could be echoed, I suspect, by many. But what are we running away from? Is the root of the problem within? Or is it only the oppression outside of us, crushing us? I disagree that you need a backbone. We need the Lord's strength and grace.

Oh, I think I know the feeling! Argh! La, reminds me of all the times I make my plans and everything just has to go awry....I say then, la, I guess I should just live life without making any plans for anything? Go figure.
