Colours Flirting in the Wind

Spring comes with bright sunshine. And neighbors hang assorted colored clothes on lines in the backyard. In this particular backyard there is a totem pole near to the fence.

The Sea

Thank you, Lonelyka. Vignettes of the sea and anemonies of the ocean create spasmic joy in our lives. The salted air can put you to sleep...even make you forget how to dream.

If Colour Matters Not

Very intriguing and fascinating....I stupidly am struggling to understand it....colour matters not while children are untaught and ignorant, does it not? They only see the differences that everywhere abound....but prejudices in regard to colour are taught, whether subtly or openly, aren't they? Are you suggesting that if we are not characterizing ourselves in one colour or another then we are not honest? Or that we will not know others honestly in reality? In the case of injustice...isn't there only black or white/right or wrong? I know no other. Since we are all of one blood, colour is only a matter of preference, seriously, isn't it? Hatred flourishes by prejudice in so many other things than simply skin colour. Alright, there is my dumb answer....will you explain what it means?

February is Black History Month in North America...my colonial escapades in the embellishment and abolisment of slavery...of journeys that reflect landmarks in the Caribbean and the Americas...of Cuffy and Akara (Guyana), Toussaint Louverture ( Haiti ) , George Washington Carver ( U.S.A. ), Martin Luther King Jr. ( U.S.A. )...and more...

Fascinating. I like it! Though your second stanza seems to rule out some of the nasty depressing pieces many of us like to churn out in our frustrations....I prefer the cheerful assessment you've thus given in that second stanza, since I more eagerly read John Clare and Charles Tennyson Turner's beautiful, loving sketches of nature than the nasty pieces many of us are wont to put forth, and have to remind myself that is the higher standard for which to aim. Also, the third point of your Bacon quote reminds me again of how rather very exact sonnet composition is, making it not only a challenging form to achieve, but also giving it the honor of being termed "the most exquisite form of poetry"...so very exact. Excellent. I enjoyed this "vignette", as it were, on our mutual hobby.

Fascinating! I like how you ordered the stanzas to taper....fascinating effect while contemplating this tribute to Mahatma Gandhi's platitude. I enjoyed this!

I like it very well! Delightful how you have thus poetically pictured the sea! Interesting the Bible says something like..."the wicked are like the troubled sea when it cannot rest, its waters casting up mire and dirt.." or something like that. Curious in contrast, isn't it?
