Love and Hate

Love and hate are the same side of a coin. Emotions caught in verse. Really good read. Thanks. Hopefully love wins over hate and separate when the coin is flipped.

It is said that the one that can not hate you can not love you. So true such strong emotions in the jealousy of love and the pity of hate take on new meaning. Strong emotions are chemical explosions often difficult to discern the difference. A wonderful write that is deeply philosophical and scientific at the same time. All put in great rhyme a wonderful poem

Sadly, this might all too likely come to pass. What a poor job we humans have done, what a good job you have done detailing it. Nice work.

Damn, this has such intense emotional weight. It feels really raw and honest. Loss is such a painful experience it\'s hard to put it into words, but your poem reflects it really well

arqios said:

War is never a good thing, both victor and vanquished loss a great deal, for me it’s always a Pyrrhic victory. And no one can tell me otherwise, the amount of lives, property, resources and peace that we had lost as a family alone are not and possibly will never be compensated by the so called resulting benefits gained. It’s just not worth it in the end.

Tristan Robert Lange said:

A profoundly sad and horrific reality. Love often blinds us to the horrors we experience. We know what we are experiencing is wrong, yet we justify it to make it make sense. But there is simply no justifying abuse. Thank you for expressing this and giving a voice to the voiceless, my dear friend. This poem comes from a place of deep empathy. It has my heart. ❀️

Mum’s tend to be more articulate than dads in general. And that saying about β€œsticks and stones…” is quite an inventive lie. We do love them still, but the wounds and scars do remain and we realise this as history repeats itself: β€œhurt people hurt people!” Very moving poem. πŸ™πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ•Š

I once consulted a poet who had developed a nervous breakdown as a result of being abused by his father, and he was a man with a wonderfully wide-ranging eye for seeing things. I wonder if that person is doing well now.

Deeply psychological and analogous to people that hurt themselves. In our own pain we often hurt what is closest too us. I could feel this poem and the pain and need for love expressed in it. Very nicely done
